Each year, the LOGISTIKUM of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria invites students, faculty, research partners and alumni to a meeting on the campus in Steyr. Shortly after the start of the new academic year, the event took place on 13th October. Almost 200 guests - among them many alumni of the logistics degree programs ILM and SCM and business partners - accepted the invitation to the campus in Steyr. Professor Franz Staberhofer and the entire team were pleased about the positive feedback. The LOGISTIKUM was founded in 2006 as competence center for logistics education and research. Scientists from all over the world cooperate with the LOGISTIKUM and more than 30 R&D projects are handled each year together with well-known company partners. At the same time, teaching and practice are mutually exchanging ideas in order to advance the findings and to lead to innovative excellence. In addition to specialist knowledge, international management, leadership and intercultural competences are therefore essential factors for a successful career in logistics. At the LogistikUMtrunk, every year several alumni organize a few presentations in order to share their experiences. Their appeal to current students this year was: "From change management to internationalization - try to gather experience!" The evening was rounded off with a wine tasting and live music.
