UNT guest professor visits the Logistikum

From 17 to 21 July, Prof. Ted Farris - a long-standing research partner of FH Upper Austria and renowned professor of marketing and logistics at the University of North Texas - was at the LOGISTIKUM in Steyr. Currently he is doing research together with Michael Herburger in a project about currency risks in the supply chain. In detail, this project aims to understand how companies manage their foreign exchange risk with suppliers and also with subsidiaries within the company. A significant extension of this project to previous activities in this field is the inclusion of crypto currencies such as Bitcoin. In this international study, the LOGISTIKUM is responsible for the European part with expert interviews and an online questionnaire.
