Supply Chain Visibility and Control

Area of expertise: Supply Chain Management

MANAGING VALUE NETWORKS IN REAL-TIME

The monitoring and control of complex global value networks, in which uncertainties and risks such as raw material bottlenecks, stock-outs, transport delays, political events, natural disasters or strikes occur, is a major challenge for companies, industries or governments. In the competence area Supply Chain Visibility and Control, a central information cockpit is developed in which the business processes and information flows of a value network are integrated and real-time network management is supported.

SUPPLY CHAIN CONTROL TOWER

A supply chain control tower is an information cockpit in which the most important information about all actors and processes of a value network flows together in real time for users, is analyzed and visualized. Thus, users can monitor all processes on the one hand and be proactively alerted to risks and problems in the network on the other. In addition, actions are suggested to the user in order to resolve incidents and to develop new supply strategies.

MONITORING OF GHG EMISSION

The consequences and effects of climate change have become a central issue in society. Customers demand sustainable products, natural disasters and weather extremes threaten the supply of value networks and governments charge CO2 taxes. To meet the requirements, frameworks and protocols exist to determine CO2 emissions in value networks. An important aspect of the future is to clearly define which actors are responsible for which emissions in the value network and who pays for the respective costs.
